Hospitality with heart
A family-run hotel built for the travellers, families and pilgrims who pass through Chotila — and for the ones who decide to stay a little longer.
Our story
Built beside a road that everybody travels
The highway between Ahmedabad and Rajkot has carried pilgrims past this hill for generations. Our family ran a small dining hall on it for years, feeding drivers, wedding parties and families on their way to darshan. Guests kept asking the same question: is there somewhere clean and quiet to sleep?
Akash Palace is the answer we built. The kitchen came first and still sets the standard for everything else — the rooms, the service, the small courtesies that make a short stop feel like a proper rest.
Our philosophy
Five things we refuse to get wrong
Comfort
Good mattresses, working air conditioning, and hot water when you need it at 4 am.
Cleanliness
Rooms are checked by a supervisor, not just cleaned. Bathrooms are the test we hold ourselves to.
Hospitality
Someone at reception through the night, because pilgrims do not arrive on a schedule.
Food quality
Small batches, fresh oil, and no shortcuts on the things that make Kathiawadi food taste right.
Guest satisfaction
We ask before you leave, not after. Problems are cheaper to fix while you are still here.
Our location
A convenient base for pilgrims and travellers
The hotel sits close to the Chamunda Mata Temple, within walking distance of the foot of the hill, and just off the main highway through Chotila. That means you can leave for darshan on foot in the dark and be back for breakfast.
It also makes us a practical halt for anyone driving between Ahmedabad and Rajkot, or continuing on towards Saurashtra and Kutch.

We want every guest to leave Chotila with wonderful memories.
If something in your stay is not right, tell us while you are still here. We would much rather fix it than read about it later.
